California Optometric Association 

Seniors EyeCare Program
(formerly known as the National Eye Care Project) 
Offers medical and surgical eye care at no cost for seniors
65 and older who do not have access to treatment of eye disease through HMO or Veterans administration. Does not cover eyeglasses. Call (800) 222-3937.

Pulse Data Human Ware Visual/Enhancing 
Offers different types of visual assistance technology and equipment. Call (800) 722-3393.

Sacramento Access News & Sacramento County Library 
Provides access for visually impaired individuals to printed materials such as newspapers, magazines and community information through the use of readers (live and audio tapes). Call (916) 732-4000.

Sierra Services for the Blind 
Provides materials, offers counseling and some assistance. Located in Nevada City. Call (530) 889-2422.

Society for the Blind 
Full service agency serving blind and visually impaired people. Call (916) 452-8271.
