Measuring Outcomes

American College of Cardiology (ACC) / National Center for Data Registry (NCDR)

The American College of Cardiology is an internationally recognized organization that provides cardiologists with the latest information and education in cardiac care. One of the components of the ACC is the National Center for Data Registry. The NCDR currently accepts data from more than 800 hospitals across the United States.

Mercy Heart & Vascular Institute participates with ACC-NCDR, using the information provided by the NCDR to confirm our patient outcomes. In addition to validating our outcomes, the reports provided by ACC assist Mercy Heart & Vascular Institute physicians in comparing their own procedures with those of other physicians at similar hospitals across the country. This has given our physicians the opportunity to stay at the forefront of all new procedures and trends in interventional cardiology.
