Mercy General receives national award
Mercy General continues to receive national recognition for its heart program. Most recently, BlueCross BlueShield named Mercy General as a Blue Distinction Center for Cardiac Care. This award was given for excellence in our treatment of heart patients, part of which includes our cardiac team's outperformance of national averages including:
- 90 minutes for "door-to-balloon" time
- percentage of patients who receive clot-busting drugs within 30 minutes of arrival
