Pulmonary Rehab team
Our Pulmonary Rehabilitation team includes healthcare professionals who are experts on respiratory diseases, medication, nutrition, physical activity and more. Each participant in the program receives training in panic control and relaxation, and in coping with the emotional aspects of having a chronic disease.

Excercise
Each program participant receives an initial evaluation by a member of the Pulmonary Rehabilitation team. After learning breathing techniques to control shortness of breath, each participant begins an individualized, monitored exercise program. By the end of the program, many participants are able to maintain exercise sessions of 45 to 60 minutes. Upon completion of the program, graduates are encouraged to attend our continuing exercise program.

Program follow-up
Graduates of our pulmonary education programs are encouraged to attend follow-up support meetings with "Pulmo Pals" - our graduate support group. These meetings provide an opportunity for participants to meet each other, have any additional questions answered and learn more about their healthcare. Monthly luncheons and outings twice a year are also offered to our graduates, as well as a monthly newsletter featuring activities available throughout the year and important information pertinent to their condition.
