Junior Volunteer Program
The Junior Volunteer Program provides the hospital an opportunity to mentor our young students that are interested in pursuing a career in the medical field.
All junior volunteers start off at an entry level volunteer position at the Hospital Information Desks and/or taking the Hospitality Carts to waiting areas. After a volunteer provides services for a minimum of three months and have volunteered a minimum of 36 hours they are eligible for other volunteer opportunities.
Please be aware there are restrictions on where we place our junior volunteers in the hospital.
We accept junior volunteer applications starting February 1st through March 31st. All other months’ applications are not accepted and you will receive a letter encouraging you to apply during our open application months.
In addition the Mercy Guild offers an annual college scholarship to our graduating seniors that meet the scholarship requirements.
